Marx Okubo is pleased to congratulate Soojin Hur, AIA, LEED AP, of the San Francisco office on becoming a California Certified Access Specialist (CASp), placing her among a select group of individuals who have demonstrated in-depth knowledge of disabled accessibility requirements. According to the California Department of General Services, “The program is designed to meet the public’s need for experienced, trained, and tested individuals who can render opinions as to the compliance of buildings and sites with the State of California codes and regulations and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for accessibility.” Given the changing nature of federal, state, and local accessibility regulations, and the particularly stringent requirements of the State of California, the knowledge gained in the process of CASp certification is invaluable in the performance of many of Marx Okubo’s services.
Ms. Hur joins Sandy Blair, AIA, and Christy Kim, AIA, in holding this certification. These valuable members of the Marx Okubo team add to our growing list of knowledgeable professionals serving clients doing business in California and throughout the country.
